Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Search widgets on content pages are supplied by outside providers. Information typed into a widget goes to that provider for processing. Cass County Warrant Records does not operate the official sheriff or court search and does not promise to store or delete a provider's query.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends a message, the private operator may retain the message and contact details to answer it. Information is not sold as a warrant database. Do not send a case number, birth date, or other sensitive detail through a general form unless the receiving office specifically asks for it.
Data We Gather Automatically
A page request can produce ordinary technical information such as:
- IP address or network identifier
- Browser and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring page, when supplied
- Page-view timestamps
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies or similar tools may help measure visits, maintain basic site functions, or report traffic. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, although some features may behave differently afterward.
What We Do With This Data
- Keep pages available and address technical faults
- Route a sponsored search request to its provider
- Measure which public-reference pages are useful
- Protect the service from abuse
- Display advertising or sponsored results
No Warrant Data on File
This private site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Cass County warrants or personal warrant files. It describes where the sheriff, County Court, District Court, and other official offices hold information. Public access under the Nebraska Public Records Act belongs to those governmental records custodians, not to this site.
Public material can also have limits. Court rules and juvenile confidentiality provisions may restrict fields that a public interface does not show.
Third-Party Search Partners
Sponsored search boxes are controlled by outside companies. A provider's own privacy notice governs data typed into its tool, its retention, and any paid service. A provider result is not an official Cass County warrant status.
Links to Other Websites
Pages link to the Cass County Sheriff, Nebraska courts, the Legislature, DMV, city offices, federal courts, and other resources. Once a visitor leaves these pages, the external operator's privacy policy and terms apply.
Advertising or analytics partners may use their own systems to measure activity. Cass County Warrant Records does not control those systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Information may be handled by:
- Outside providers that process a sponsored search
- Analytics services that measure traffic
- Advertising services that place sponsored material
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when a valid legal obligation requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used for information under the private operator's control. No internet service can promise that a breach will never occur. Use the minimum detail needed for a routing question and send sensitive case material only through an official secure channel.
Users Under 18
The reference service is intended for adults. The operator does not knowingly seek personal information from a child under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor sent information, a deletion request may be directed to the private operator through the available contact route.
Your Data Rights
Visitors may ask what personal information is held by the private operator, request correction, request deletion where applicable, or ask about certain processing. These choices do not alter a sheriff, court, or DMV record. Nebraska Public Records Act rights apply to governmental public records, not to a private reference page.
- Ask what private contact information is retained
- Request correction of a private mailing detail
- Request deletion when no legal reason requires retention
- Ask how a sponsored provider handles a query
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change when the site, data practices, or legal needs change. The updated wording becomes effective when posted here. Review it before sending information through a sponsored tool or contact route.
